palate surgery coming up

oh boy, february 11th is zaina's palate surgery. hopefully it goes well and easy recovery. hope she isn't sick day of surgery or it will get postponed for months!! please pray for her and for us.

what a great year 2008 was for us. we got the referral of our daughter, our family is complete!! we thank god so much for his greatness and his mercy upon our family, and his blessings to answer our prayers. We pray for prosperity for all of our family and friends in 2009!! I pray for my dear friend michelle to get her baby quickly, hopefully in 2009. I pray for great health for all of our parents, and succesful surgeries for my daughter, and continued growth for our sweet son. Amen.

I am so grateful to all our friends and family for all their support and love to us. It truely takes a village to raise a child, and we have all of your support to thank for both our children receiving so much endless love.

palate surgery february 11th

well, zaina's cleft palate surgery is on wednesday february 11th. it will be a doozie!! it will help her with speach and eating and eliminate the drool, but the recovery will be trecherous. please pray for her.

snowed in - for 10 days now!!! ugh!!!

we have been snowed in our homes for 10 days now. the kids were also sick with virus bugs. i've been hitching rides to work and bailing out of work early due to bad snow!! we had almost 3 feet of snow in our driveway. chains required all over our county. we dont have chains. cant put them on our cars.

eid day

eid today. dinner with the family in the evening. zaina also had her 3rd follow up appt with her surgeon, and all is well. she has her palate surgery scheduled for february.

twin boys 2nd bday party-face painters

went to a kids bday party, our kids went nuts. zaina went upto all the chinese guys and raised her arms upto them, flirting!!
all the other kids were older than zaina, but she was so much tougher than any of them. she would plow right through a crowd of kids to get past them to get to the balloons. so cute!!!

Akika-blessing day for Shaun and Zaina

big day today. We had a dinner party at our "house of worship", and invited close family and friends and asked them to pray for shaun and zaina, that they grow up to big good people, kind caring people, and better our society. It's kinda like a "name day" or "blessing day"
Both kids dressed to the nines in traditional indian garb, and there was a great feast. people were very generous with their gifts. happy day for my kids. and for us.

Turkey Day

Zaina ate til she could eat not more. Shaun continued his Ghandi hunger strike. Not sure what his demands are.

healing continues, lots of colds to go around

Zaina's healing continues, but everyone has had some cold or the other for almost 2 weeks as a family now. Hopefully we're out of the woods soon.
Zaina is walking on her own more now. She is very cautious and slow, but independent for sure.
Shaun is very protective of his baby sister. He gets upset when she is upset.
Shaun also helps Zaina practice her walking, alot!! He just holds her hand and off they go.
I go back to work Sunday, bummer! was nice being home (paid) for 3 months. Time to get back to the real world.

tick tock tick tock goes the clock

every day with my kids is a blessing. I pray for good things and good health for them, and pray nothing go wrong in zaina's continuous recovery. she is 80% out of the woods by 6 weeks post surgery, which will thanksgiving week.

Every little spot or anything around her mouth area puts me over the edge and spiral my crazy imagination.

please pray for us. Worrying is aging me, quickly.

brother's wedding

bro got married this weekend. some pics from it. zaina had too much fun partying the weekend away. girl loves attention. shaun had fun too, being naughty but cute. he loves his sister though.
it was a 3 day event. Singing Hena night on friday, wedding saturday, casual lunch and dinner sunday. fun but exhausting.
