oh crap...its proabably gonna rain on party

well...unless the weather does a complete 180 degree turn...it will likely rain on Zaina's outdoor bday party. we looked into tenting the entire back yard deck and lawn area, but that would cost way too much and would still be cold out there. so, plan B is to move the entire gathering indoors, move furniture around, and turn the upstairs pool room into a kids fun oasis. Still doing the pinata, bubble machine (outside, in the main doorway), crafts station, balloons, candy, theatre popcorn maker, cotton candy machine (maybe), and ofcourse, the lion dancers. they say they will perform inside if need be, it will be tight, but doable.
Oh well, the show must go on. But please, pray for sunshine on june 6th, that would be awesome!!

well, it's time for the lady's bday again...turning the big 3... I thought I would down size this year, but turns out we are going crazier than ever. We are expecting 30-40 adults and 20-30 kids...yowza!!!!!

Should be fun. Zaina is doing great in school, but reverting in potty training alittle...having peepee accidents atleast 3 times per week. Working on it...sucks...but working on it.

here are some pics from mothers day weekend. had ironman 2 hang out with the kids on friday before work, saturday was mother in law and her twin sisters surprise 60th bday party, sunday was my mothers spa, lunch, and family bbq with my folks. hecktic.

She's potty trained, turning into a young lady

Oh boy, no more signs of a baby here....
Zaina is potty trained...almost. no more diapers, she got 30 new underwear (I am not doing laundry every day), and loves to pick out the underwear for the day, and pull ups at nap time and at night... only a couple of accidents so far..
also, FINALLY got rid of all her baby bottles, she is using nubby sippy cups only now...

kids are growing up fast, cant believe we are done with so much baby stuff.....

Zaina and Shaun are both back to school 2 days a week, zaina has speech therapy 2 to 3 times per week, and shaun has yoga and karate once a week. in the fall we will put zaina and shaun both in karate twice a week, together, that will be fun!!!

just got done doing spring and summer shopping for the kids, tons of clothes, jackets, swim wear, shoes, accessories....I am officially broke now. Mom and dad wear the same worn out clothes, but kiddos get tons of new trendy stuff...

zaina healed well from her palate surgery, she is speaking better, we are told it takes 6 months or so before you see a major difference in speech. we are very very aggressive with speech therapy right now, will pay off soon.

FUN, WHY ARE WE HERE....

day of surgery, she was great, right after, dilirium for 3 hours, then good...1 night stay at hospital, the fastest it's been so far.

now we are home, 4 weeks puree foods and liquids diet only, then 2 weeks of soft food diet after that, total 6 weeks abnormal diet....that's mission impossible!! This girl likes to eat. As they were wheeling her away to surgery, she looked at Mike and said "Daddy, I want Pizzicato

pizza now", dream on honey, not for 6 weeks.

well, zaina's 2nd cleft palate surgery and palatal flap elongation surgery is on feb 10th. worried. I know it is good for her, just the initial few days after surgery are rough. Please pray these days go by well and she does well during surgery.
